Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri is an Indian actress who achieved fame for her role in Hum Aapke Hain Koun as well as Beta Saajan. In the 80s the actress began her acting career. She became popular with the role of Tezaab, in which she starred alongside veteran actor Anil Kapooor. Her next appearance was in Dil in which she shared screen space with Aamir. In the beginning, as a girl growing up in Mumbai's middle-class, she began to learn how to dance. She started acting when a youngster and struggled for several years because the majority of her first films failed. In the end, she was one of the most famous actresses in Indian films. Following her wedding ceremony, she took a time off from her acting career before returning. She was a key character in Gulaab Gang, a film focused on women's struggles in India. Dixit won the film eight Filmfare Awards out of the fifteen she was nominated for. Padma Shri was awarded to Dixit. It is the fourth-highest civil honour in India. Her reputation also includes for social activism.
